Upsize This! :: View topic - Larry King: Kerry Will Not See Fahrenheit 911

Upsize This! :: View topic - Larry King: Kerry Will Not See Fahrenheit 911: Yesterday, the John/Heinz Kerry/Larry King interview transcript clip with two comments from the DNC blog regarding the "no see, no comment" Fahrenheit 911 strategy were posted on several Fahrenheit 911 forums. Check out what was said and join the discussion.

Last week, in an interview on CNN LARRY KING LIVE, John Kerry and his wife had this exchange with Larry:

'KING: Have you seen 'Fahrenheit 9/11'?

KERRY: No, I haven't. I haven't.

KING: Do you plan to?

KERRY: I don't plan to, right now.

KING: Don't plan to?

KERRY: No, I don't plan to.

KING: Wouldn't you be curious to want to see it?

KERRY: I've seen it. I've watched it for the last four years.

KING: But you haven't seen it put together like Moore put it together.

KERRY: I've got it put together in my head, Larry, and I know why I'm running president. I believe we can do better. I think the country wants to move in a different direction, with leadership that really brings people together, tries to solve problems, and that's what I intend to do.

KING: Have you seen it?

HEINZ KERRY: No.

KING: Don't plan to see it?

HEINZ KERRY: Maybe when all this is over, but we don't have much time.'

Hmmmm.

W won't see or comment on F/911
Kerry won't see or comment on F/911

What else will Kerry do that W is doing or has done?

Of course, the Democrats feel this 'no see, no comment' strategy is a good one to use at the moment. But, what happens when F/911 is available on DVD September 11 and local democrats are passing the silver platter out to everyone with a pulse?

Fresh comments from the DNC Weekend Blog:

I don't understand what good will come from discussing the merits of the movie. They are in the middle of a campaign, no? It makes perfect sense to me that Kerry has in fact lived it. The Kerry Campaign needs F9/11, not the other way around.

Rick:

I am with you on this Kerry and F911 bit.

I think the image of Kerry making a point of sitting through this movie, will not be a particularly good one. It would look like he is going to garner up some more negative points against Bush. He WAS there, saw everything, does not need verification.

mj, I'm not sure I understand what you mean by getting over this Michael Moore bullshit exactly. I just want to throw this out there though.

I think the reason that most of us want as many people to see F911 as possible is that it is one easy source to go to to get at a lot of information that most people did not know, had not read, did not learn from the mainstream media about what has been going on since this administration took power. There are truths that many did not know until seeing the movie. Obviously Kerry knows all that stuff so he doesn't necessarily need to see it or discuss it, and has decided to avoid the controversy which is wise, but for the rest of America, especially those that are not political junkies, a lot of it is brand new to them and the more they see, the more knowledge they will have with which to decide who the best person is to lead us the next four years.
