Fahrenheit 9/11 Filmmaker Says Journalists Failed to Do Job Prior to Iraq War

Fahrenheit 9/11 Filmmaker Says Journalists Failed to Do Job Prior to Iraq War: "Hollywood, Calif. -- Michael Moore has become a political lighting rod of the political forces of the right and left in the upcoming national election since his film 'Fahrenheit 9/11' casts President George W. Bush unfavorably in a documentary review of the events leading up to the American invasion of Iraq while highlighting the President's links with powerful Saudi Arabians, including relatives of Osama bin Laden.
Yet in recent interviews Moore says that American journalists failed to ask the hard questions about weapons of mass destruction, alleged false links between the Iraqi government and Saudi terrorists, and the ties between the Bush and bin Laden families spanning years.
'Bona-fide journalists in the U.S. supported this war, cheer leaded this war, got in bed with the administration, never asked the hard questions and completely failed the American people by not doing their job,' noting that the film shows footage not seen on nightly national newscasts in an interview with the National Post of Canada.
