Filmmaker tries hand at directing voters

Filmmaker tries hand at directing voters: "Hilary Robinson of Phoenix didn't vote in 2000. But she promised filmmaker Michael Moore she would be at the polls Nov. 2.

'I love Michael Moore as much as I love Oprah Winfrey,' Robinson, 30, said Wednesday after Moore whipped nearly 3,000 fans into a partisan frenzy at Phoenix's Celebrity Theatre. 'He's introduced my generation of 30-somethings to the importance of the democratic process.'

Recovering from bronchitis, Moore, in his trademark T-shirt, jeans and baseball cap, made Phoenix the 25th city on a 60-city tour of battleground states to stump for John Kerry and put the force of his fiery personality behind the effort to oust George W. Bush."
