News-Leader.com | Movie about much more than pointing fingers

News-Leader.com | Opinions | Movie about much more than pointing fingers: "It is true that Michael Moore repeatedly pokes fun at the president and the current administration. Undoubtedly he points blame on one man and his family. This will be uncomfortable for Bush supporters. But the movie is much more than this. The footage of our soldiers and their fears and frustrations needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. And Moore helps us understand the sacrifices of Iraqi civilians and the confusion that results from the occupation.
According to Editor and Publisher, 90 percent of movie critics for the nation's daily newspapers give 'Fahrenheit 9/11' a positive rating - even the very conservative presses.
As Americans, we should be open to ideas and differing points of view. Maybe then we can better understand why many hold the United States in contempt.
If you believe in freedom of speech, the American flag, our military and the sacrifices needed to sustain freedom - whether you are for or against the war in Iraq - you should see this movie. Then form your opinion. You will definitely witness things you have not seen on the Fox News Channel."
