House of Bush, House of Saud Blog Post: Even More Distortions from Newsweek!

House of Bush, House of Saud: "To the Editors of Newsweek: David Rubenstein is one of the founders of the Carlyle Group, not Howard Rubenstein, the public relations legend who is reported to hold that position by Michael Isikoff and Mark Hosenball(More Distortions from Michael Moore. Carlyle's William Kennard was chairman of the FCC-- not Cannard as Isikoff and Hosenball report. George W. Bush was on the board of Caterair, not Carterair.

Most important of all, the long, lucrative Bush-Baker relationship with the Carlyle Group began in 1990, and started to flourish in 1993-- not 1998 as the two Newsweek reporters suggest. This last distortion completely negates their argument that the Bushes had nothing to do with Carlyle while the Saudis were doing business with the gigantic Washington private equity firm. "

Bush for the New Yorker, Esquire Magazine and Vanity Fair.
