Reuters.com: Director Moore Says Time to Wake Up the 'Choir'
Politics News Article | Reuters.com: "'Don't diminish the importance of the choir,' Moore told Reuters in a recent interview. 'That choir has been asleep; that choir has been ignored ... and if this movie wakes that choir up and gets them singing, I will have made, I believe, a significant contribution.'
Moore defined his 'choir' as African Americans, young people, working-class citizens and the poor.
'These people are the most affected by decisions that are made in Washington, D.C. and yet they vote the least,' he said.

Because it will debut in far fewer theaters than a major motion picture, which can be released in over 3,000, "Fahrenheit 9/11" will likely not open as No. 1 on box-office charts despite the intense interest and controversy the film has generated.
'If you love Moore, it's a no-brainer, you want to see it," said Paul Dergarabedian of box office tracker Exhibitor Relations Co. Inc. "But if you're one of his detractors, you have to know thy enemy's message.'"
