MoveOn PAC Press Release: ROB REINER-PRODUCED TV AD CITES BUSH FAILURE TO ADMIT MISTAKES IN IRAQ OR WITH U.S. ECONOMY

MoveOn PACToday, MoveOn PAC begins running a TV spot produced by Rob Reiner in which the well-known actor/director uses video clips of President Bush repeatedly fumbling in failed attempts to admit mistakes he has made during his first three and a half years in office. (Click Title to see ad)

Reiner observes that the President continues to demonstrate his inability to recognize or admit mistakes, as evidenced in the Presidential debate with Senator John Kerry last Friday.

“The President continues to say that given what we know now-- that Saddam Hussein had no weapons of mass destruction, no ties to Al Qaeda, and had nothing to do with 9/11-- he still would have gone to war. That goes far beyond bad judgment,” said Reiner.

“As we near the most important election of my lifetime, I am proud to release ‘Mistake’ with MoveOn PAC. It’s an ad that highlights three of the areas where the president has refused to admit any mistakes—both foreign and domestic.”

The ad will begin running on Tuesday, October 12 through Sunday, October 17 on CNN, Fox and Washington, DC cable. The total initial buy will be $100,000.
