USATODAY.com - 'Fahrenheit' keeps momentum, and emotions, running hot

USATODAY.com - 'Fahrenheit' keeps momentum, and emotions, running hot: "Gregory Byrd, a 53-year-old ex-Marine from the blue-collar town of Lansing, Mich., says he leans 'toward Republican thinking' and supports President Bush.

Movie with a message: Sgt. Abdul Henderson and Michael Moore in Fahrenheit 9/11. The documentary has taken in $60 million.

But over the Fourth of July holiday, he did something that would make most GOP partisans cringe: He saw Michael Moore's Bush-bashing documentary Fahrenheit 9/11.
'I was entertained by it,' he says. He says he didn't like the film's depiction that people choose military service out of poverty and desperation rather than a sense of nationalism. 'But I would give my life to protect Mr. Moore's right to make the movie, put it out and make hundreds of millions of dollars - and I hope he does.'
Another Bush supporter, Victoria Weaver of Nashville, says she 'didn't want to come and see this, but I thought for educational purposes, I should.' Weaver, 42, a meeting planner, says she still intends to vote for Bush. But she applauds Moore for 'showing us how cruel this war is' and 'bringing everyone's attention to why this war shouldn't be.'"
